Mr. W. L. “Dub” Devazier, age 77, of Caldwell, went to his eternal home on October 4, 2020, at the Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. W. L. was born August 25, 1943, in Caldwell, Arkansas, and was the son of Edna Earl Burns Devazier and Lenard “Shorty” Devazier. W. L. made the decision to accept Christ at an early age and rededicated his life to work and serve the Lord more fervently later in his adult life. W. L. loved the Lord and his church family at First Baptist Church, Forrest City, and was a long-time member. W. L. worked for the Lindsey Grocery Company, (GI) General Industries, D&D Guard Patrol, Sears, and retired from Lindsey Bro. Gin and Warehousing. W. L. worked as the warehouse manager and it was more of a hobby than work. W. L. loved working in all aspects of the Gin and with employees that he considered his friends. W. L. built lifelong relationships with truck drivers and dispatchers, until his retirement. W. L. is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jo LaNan Davis Devazier, two daughters; Pam Devazier of Forrest City and Paula Devazier Owens, and husband, Devin, of Jonesboro, one son, Paul Devazier of Forrest City, Linda Devazier of Forrest City, three brothers; Donald Devazier, and wife, Ann, of Fitzgerald Crossing, Jerry Devazier, and wife, Bonnie, of Wynne, and Leonard Earl Devazier, and wife, Stephanie, of Caldwell, one uncle, Sidney Burns of Forrest City, five grandchildren; Chelsea (Erik) Sparks, Jackson, Reid, Emma Kate, and Hudson Owens, two great-grandchildren, the apples of his eyes, Landon and Ava Gilchrist, and a host of nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Devazier will be held Graveside, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at the Lindsey Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, 9:30 till 10:30 A. M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
