Whether you’re acting in the moment or planning ahead, we’re here to guide you.
Pre-planning lets your loved ones focus on honoring life instead of hashing out details. Learn the choices you can make now, so a future funeral becomes more of a celebration than a burden.
Since 1893 Stevens and Kernodle Funeral Homes has been a family tradition of old-fashioned hospitality, a true sense of warmth, careful attention to detail, and leadership you've come to expect from friends you can rely on today and tomorrow.
Our business office is open from 9:00am until 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Although the building may be closed on Saturday and Sunday (except for funeral service or visitation), we are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to meet your needs.
On behalf of our families who are experiencing a loss during this unprecedented period in our communities, we want to thank you for your willingness to offer your love and support. Because of government restrictions, you may want to consider alternative ways to make a meaningful connection with the family besides attending their visitation and service. Some of these ways may include:
Sign their guestbook at stevensfuneralhome.net, Kernodlefh.com
Leave a message of comfort on their loved one’s Tribute Wall at stevensfuneralhome.net, Kernodlefh.com
Send an online sympathy card
Make a memorial contribution to their charity of choice
Send a floral gift
Touch base on social media
If you choose to attend a public visitation or service, make yourself familiar with the following requirements:
If you are 65 years of age or older we strongly discourage your attendance, this is for your safety.
Please do not enter if you feel sick, are sneezing, coughing, have a fever, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat.
Please wash your hands in our restroom before entering the gathering/ceremonial space to visit with family members.
Please refrain from shaking hands or offering hugs to anyone.
During Visitation, no more than 25 people will be allowed in the gathering space with the family.
No more than 50 people will be seated with the family during their service.
Finally, this unprecedented period is rapidly unfolding and we are diligently working to cooperate with government restrictions to ensure the needs of our families are being met. Our funeral directors and staff are front lines, service professionals. Grief does not take a day off and we will be here for you! Your cooperation in this matter is deeply appreciated as we all make little sacrifices to protect and care for those we love.
