Linda Ann Colvin Brewer With broken hearts, we rejoice in announcing that our precious Mama and Grammy, Linda Ann Colvin Brewer, age 67, of Conway, Arkansas, was called to her Heavenly home, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, Our beautiful lady was surrounded by her loving family, when she met Jesus. Mrs. Brewer was born on December 19, 1954, in Forrest City, Arkansas. She was the oldest daughter of William McKinley “Buddy” Colvin and Helen Pearl Watson Colvin. She is survived by her sister, Patsy Colvin, of McRae Arkansas. Mrs. Brewer lived most of her life, in Palestine, Arkansas. She was a member of the Palestine High School Class of 1972. It was in this small town that she met the love of her life, Gary Don “Donnie” Brewer. Donnie and Linda married on January 8, 1983. Together, they built a great life, raised their children and helped countless people throughout their community. Donnie and Linda owned Brewers Kwik Stop, which was a favorite hangout of the young and old, alike. Any given Friday night you would find the two of them at their store, serving up Catfish and BBQ to family, friends and customers, many who would drive from all over the state. They sold their businesses and retired, in 1998. Aside from being one of the hardest working women you would ever meet, Linda dedicated her life to her family and giving back to others within her community. The Lord was the foundation of her life and her final request was simply that her loved ones LOVE the Lord and live your life to ensure you can be with her again, when your own time here on earth, is over. Her family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by: Her children; Glenda (Michael) Gore, Charlie (Whittiney) Hickman and Amy (Eugene) Watlington. Her grandchildren; Hannah (Dallas) Gipson, Casey (Coby) Gore, Josie Gore, Jacob Hickman, Kyleigh Hickman, Logan Hickman, Trentin (Jordyn) Farrell, Trenity Bailey, Trista Farrell, Kaitlin (Hayden) Fritts, Maggie (Hayden) Spafford, Jesse Watlington, Baylea Hickman Watlington, Morgan (Trey) Schucker, Hannah (Jase) Long, Brianna (John) Lee, Sarah Brewer, Madison Brewer, and her great grandchildren; Addison Klaire Fritts who was Grammy’s Brown-Eyed Baby Girl, and her first great grandson, Castiel Kai Farrell. In addition to her only sister, Pat, she is survived by maternal aunts; Joan Sitzes and Mary Ellen Huling, her sister and brother in-laws; Connie Jayroe, Desha Colvin, Evadell Middleton, Tammie Slaughter, Joyce Mayhan, Margie Brewer, Vonnie Brewer, Jerry Brewer, and Charles Shafer, and many cousins. Throughout life, Linda endured many losses, so her friends and extended family meant so much to her. She is survived by nephews and nieces; Curt (Kara) Colvin and their son, JT, Adam Colvin, Joe Colvin, William (Natalie) Colvin, Tonya Colvin, Chrystal (Dan) Dance, Morgan (Larry) Cadwell, Patsy Shafer, Jeri Lynn Brewer, Jennifer Brewer, Chrystal Brewer, Teresa Bradford, Jean Vick, as well as all of their children. She is also survived by a few special people she chose as family; Stacey(Jason) Smith and their children Kurstee (Matt) Carter, Joey (Bailey) Smith and baby JD Smith; Laura Cadwell, Sonny Whittle, Chester Williams, Rachel (Chucky) Maclin, Jonathan (Kacey) Parks and Erna Morphis, her best friend of many years, as well as any child who ever hung out at her home, and a host of other friends who are more like family. . Linda was preceded in death by many loved ones, including her parents, grandparents, and her two brothers; Larry Colvin and Curtis Colvin Sr.. She endured her greatest loss on February 11, 2014, with the death of her beloved husband, Donnie. She endured a 6 year battle with cancer, beating it twice. She recently found out the cancer had returned. This time, it was too much for her body to endure and without any suffering, her beautiful heart finally stopped. It brings great comfort to her family to know her pain and suffering is over and she is now reunited with those she has missed, for so long. Funeral Services for Mrs. Brewer will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home, in Forrest City, Arkansas. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by the service, which will begin at 2:00 pm. Following the service, Mrs. Brewer will be laid to rest at Bell Cemetery, in Palestine, Arkansas. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
