Mrs. Eleanor Jane Fleeman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Eleanor Jane Fleeman age 84, of Forrest City, Arkansas died Wednesday April 27, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Fleeman was born September 5, 1937 in Hunter, Arkansas. She was the daughter of William Henry Files and Bessie Lee Nicholson Files. Mrs. Fleeman had lived in Forrest City the past 55 years where she was a longtime teacher, teaching history and home economics. She was a maid of honor in school and was president of Alpha Gama Delta Sorority, she was longtime active member of the First Baptist Church, where she was a choir member and involved in the Awana program. She was also an avid bridge player. Mrs. Fleeman married Eddie Fleeman in1959. He survives her along with two sons, Will Fleeman and wife Laurie of Jefferson City, Missouri and Joe Fleeman and wife Joy of Nashville, Tennessee; two daughters Edie Roberts and husband Brad of Colt and Nikki Colvin and husband Stanley of Wynne; a sisters Ruthie Perkins and husband Don of Rogers; a brother Kenneth Files and wife Joye Ann of Hunter. Eight grandchildren survive her, Drew, Brook, Ashlyn, Conner, Dillon, Reece, Zane and Zoe along with a great granddaughter Stella. She was preceded in death by a great grandson Grayson McKamie and 5 siblings Mavis Anderson, Dean, Shelby, Jack and Charles “Punk” Files. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 before the service at the church.
