Louise Elizabeth Jones Tracy

Mrs. Louise Elizabeth Jones Tracy of Forrest City, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles and Stella Lincoln Jones on September 2, 1924. She was preceded in death by her husband of over sixty years Aubrey E. Tracy in 2003. Because of her husband's failing health and his need for a warmer climate, in 1976, Mrs. Tracy retired from Chicago Rawhide, Elgin, Illinois, where she had served at Production Office Supervisor for many years and returned to Forrest City. She devoted her life to caring for her husband and others and serving her Lord. She loved her family without measure and nothing gave her greater joy than cooking for them. Mrs. Tracy graduated from high school in Forrest City, Ar., being the last member of her class to pass away. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, St. Charles, Illinois, for many years where she taught Sunday school. She joined another Baptist Church in Forrest City where she again taught Sunday school. She later joined Good Hope Church in Forrest City and attended when her failing health allowed. She loved her Lord with all of her heart and spent time daily reading His Word. Louise is survived by her son, Aubrey Wayne Tracy of Forrest City, her daughter, Dee 'Delores' and her son-in-law, Gary Ritchason of Batavia, Illinois, and her son Gary E. Tracy of Marsing, Id. She was a loving grandmother to Tracy (John) Freeman and their daughter Kathleen of North Aurora, Illinois, and Lisa Korchmar and her son Zachary Korchmar of Batavia, Illinois. Mrs. Tracy is also survived by her sister Imogene Perrine of Pine Bluff, Ar. and her sister-in-law Joy Louise Tracy of Forrest City. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Bettye Poynor, Dotty Hatcher, and Pat Baker. Mrs. Tracy was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her daughter-in-law Lynda Tracy of Marsing, Id., and three brothers, Buford Jones, Charles Jones, Jr. (Buck) and Chester Jones along with numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Bettye Poynor of Newport, Ar, widow of Dr. Lory Poynor who was the family's pastor at Bethel Baptist Church, St. Charles, Il. for many years. During the final period of our Mom's life, Bettye visited her daily expressing her abundant love for Mom and for the family. Her loving kindness and caring provided great comfort when it was needed the most. Services for Mrs. Tracy will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Saturday, with burial in Hughes Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, November 19, 2016, 12:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Pastor Clay Hughes will be officiating the service. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
