William Doyle Cook Sr.

Mr. William Doyle Cook, Sr., died Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at CrossRidge Community Hospital. He was 93. Doyle was born on September 22, 1928, to the late William Lee and Ella Lee Cook. He was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Wynne. He taught the junior and senior boys Sunday school and was very active with Christ's Ambassadors. Doyle owned and operated Cook’s Roofing and Service Company until his retirement. He was a long-time member of the Wynne Volunteer Fire Department. Doyle was a member of the Sisson Hunting Club and National Rifle Association. Doyle is survived by his son, William Doyle Cook, Jr. of Wynne, daughters, Jeanie Cook Curtner and husband Dan of Wynne, Neda Cook Hodges and husband Matt of Wynne, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Goodwin Cook, his parents, William and Ella Cook, and sisters, Louise Raymond, Jewel Sisson, Arbelle Etheridge, and Patsy Bradsher. . Visitation will be held at Kernodle Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 10 to 11 AM with graveside services following at 11 at Cogbill Cemetery.
