Wayne Davis, age 64, of Alma, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, in Fort Smith. He was born August 3, 1953, in Forrest City. He was retired from Randall Ford. Wayne loved to tell stories and corny jokes. He also liked to play practical jokes and have them played on him. He loved the Razorbacks, golf, fishing, and playing cards with his buddies. If he was whistling, it was a good day. He and Barb loved to adopt furbabies and received much love in return. He is survived by his wife of forty-three years (which he enjoyed “almost” every minute of), Barbara Davis of the home, his mother, Flora Davis of Wynne, Arkansas, two sisters; Janie Brawner, and husband, Danny, of Wynne, and Renee Ricker, and husband, Dan, of Forrest City, a brother, David Davis, and wife, Julia, of Forrest City, a sister-in-law, Penny Davis, of Forrest City, and numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Davis and a brother, Earl Davis. A graveside service will be held at Lindsey Cemetery, 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 29, 2018. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, Arkansas. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018, 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home in Forrest City with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kitties and Kanines, 4900 Rogers Avenue, #100A, Fort Smith, Arkansas, 72903,or Almost Home Shelter, 3390 Pointer Trail East,Van Buren, Arkansas, 72956,or any animal shelter of one's choice.
