February 20, 1997 - September 1, 2017
Trace Neeley, of Colt, was born February 20, 1997 and died September 1, 2017. He lived a very full life in his twenty short years. Trace was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and was the son of Robert Terral Neeley and Tina Taylor Neeley. He was employed with B & B Plumbing and was a member of the Wynne Baptist Church. Trace loved his family, friends, and basically all the people he met. He had a heart for helping others and showed it on a daily basis. He didn't just want to be your friend, he wanted to be your family. He could play the guitar and sing. He loved using his talents for the Lord. He loved church and always wanted to be a major role in church or doing something for his church. He loved his country and often flew an American flag from his truck. He was not ashamed to share his view on patriotism or his faith with you. In general, he just loved to talk to everyone. He never met a stranger. He was the most selfless, humble person you would ever meet. The only thing that Trace loved more than his family, or life, was his Savior, and this reflected in every aspect of his life. He also had a passion for all things hunting and fishing. He had a love for guns and his dream was to continue to add to his collection someday. Trace did not just passively like people, he loved them whole-heartedly. Trace did not just have hobbies, he had obsessions. The point is, if Trace put his mind to a task, there was no half-hearted effort. He loved all and helped all. He loved the Lord his God with all his heart, soul, mind, and strength and he loved his neighbor as himself. Trace is survived by his parents; Terral and Tina Neeley of Colt, two brothers; Taylor Neeley, and wife, Emily, of Cave City, and Trenton Neeley of Colt, his paternal grandmother, Judy Neeley of Forrest City, his maternal grandparents; Larry and Vicki Taylor of Forrest City, and many other family members and friends. His paternal grandfather, Darrel Neeley, preceded him in death. Services will be held at the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Colt, 10:00 A.M., Thursday, with burial in Loughridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, 5:00 till 8:00 P.M., at the church with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorials are to be made to the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, For Budd Creek Baptist Camp, 2718 Hwy 306 East, Colt, Arkansas, 72326.
