Lila Ruth Brewer

Lila Ruth Brewer, age 92, of Palestine, died Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her daughter's home in Palestine. Mrs. Brewer was born July 4, 1929, in Wynne, and was the daughter of Luther Black and Annie May Clark Black. She lived in Palestine most all of her life, was a homemaker, a babysitter for many kids and was considered Grandma Brewer to all of them, and was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. Mrs. Brewer married Willard Elwood Brewer in 1946, and he preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by two daughters; Becky Puett, and husband, Bob, of Hot Springs, and Sharon Kennedy, and husband, Clarence, of Palestine, a daughter-in-law, Linda Brewer of Forrest City, four grandchildren; Jeremy Sharp, and wife, Samantha, Justin Sharp, and wife, Whitney, Heather Sitzes, and husband, Jerrold Moore, and Donna Collier, and husband, Fred, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She had two sons; Larry Brewer and Butch Brewer, one granddaughter, Tina Brewer, who all preceded her in death. Services for Mrs. Brewer will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Thursday, with burial in Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, beginning 1:00 P.M., until the time of the service, at Stevens Funeral Home. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
