Delores Chipman Jumper

Delores Chipman Jumper, age 80, of Palestine, died Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. She had been in the hospital for the past week. Mrs. Jumper was born June 12, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was the daughter of John Gilbert Chipman and Edith J. Johnson Chipman. She lived in St. Francis County all of her life, was retired from Walmart after thirty-two years of service, and was a member of the Twin Assembly of God Church in Palestine. Mrs. Jumper married Adron Jumper in 1959, and he preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by two sons; Scotty Jumper, and wife, Lisa, of Forrest City, and Kevin Jumper, and wife, Melissa, of Wynne, one daughter, Jeri Cooper, and husband, Bill, of Palestine, one brother, Ron Chipman of Atlanta, Georgia, nine grandchildren; Jessica, Andrea, Derrick, Keenan, Klayton, Kristian, Courtney, MaryKatherine, and Joseph, seven great-grandchildren, and a very special friend and companion, Rodney Monroe of Wheatley. She had one daughter, Andrea Jumper, one great-granddaughter, Heather Howell, two brothers; George Gilbert Chipman and Aubrey Chipman, and one sister, Tolise Nosler, who all preceded her in death. Services for Mrs. Jumper will be held at the Twin Assembly of God Church in Palestine, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, with burial in Bell Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, evening, 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the church, with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
