Clovis Macon, age 78, of Forrest City, died Friday, September 11, 2020, at his home in Forrest City. He had been in poor health for the past year. Mr. Macon was born May 25, 1942, in Slate Springs, Mississippi, and was the son of Leslie Macon and Monema McPhail Macon Cornelius. He lived in St. Francis County most all of his life, was retired as the Forrest City Public Works Director after forty-three years of service, and was a member of the Madison First Baptist Church. Mr. Macon married Joyce Bryant in 1962, and she preceded him in death in 2018. He is survived by two daughters; Judy Macon of Forrest City and Robbie Macon of Marianna, and one sister, Lisa Hudson, and husband, Mike, of Pontotoc, Mississippi. He had one sister, Martha Stubblefield, who preceded him in death. Services for Mr. Macon will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
