Billy Joe Pillow, age 70, of Forrest City, died Saturday at his home in Forrest City. His death came sudden and unexpected. Mr. Pillow was born July 29, 1948, in Hughes, Arkansas, and was the son of John Edward Pillow Sr. and Mary Ruth Burrow Pillow. He lived in St. Francis County most all of his life, was retired from Sanyo, and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church. He had served for the Caldwell Fire Department, the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office, and had been a constable. Mr. Pillow married Deborah C. Pledger and she preceded him in death in 2010. He is survived by one son, Bryan Edward Pillow, and wife, Tracy, of Forrest City, one sister, Shirley Agner of Southaven, Mississippi, and three grandchildren; Jessie, Katie, and Abby. Services for Mr. Pillow will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, with burial in Hughes Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 10:00 A.M, until the time of the service.
