Annie Lee 'Hoopie' Hill

Annie Lee 'Hoopie' Hill, age 94, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, October 22, 2019. She had been in poor health for the past several years. Mrs. Hill was born March 1, 1925, in Palestine, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Emmett J. Thweatt and Birdie Bray Thweatt. She lived in Forrest City all of her life, was retired from Reltoc Manufacturing, was a member of the Eastern Star, American Legion, and the V.F.W. Auxiliary, and attended the Faith Baptist Church in Forrest City. Mrs. Hill married Roy Hill in 1945, and he preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by two sons; Raymond Hill, and wife, Dianna, of Forrest City, and Donald Ray Hill, and wife, Carlene, of Pottsboro, Texas, four grandchildren; Duke, and wife, Dashaune, Mike, Donald Ray Jr., and Thomas, and wife, Alayne, six great-grandchildren; T.J., Jordan, Claire, Hunter, Collin, and Leah, and one great-great-grandchild, Kamryn. She had three brothers; Ray Thweatt, Homer Thweatt, and Cecil Thweatt, and five sisters; Louise Jones, Mary Nell Leamon, Betty Jean Quillin, Marie Williams, and Carolyn Pettus, all preceded her in death. Services for Mrs. Hill will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery.
