    Agnes Bowers Clark Spicer

    December 21, 1915 - February 9, 2018

    Mrs. Agnes Bowers Clark Spicer, age 102, died Friday in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Spicer was born December 21, 1915, in Marianna, and was the daughter of William Bernard Bowers and Josephine Shea Bowers. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in West Memphis and Van Buren, she was a member of the Social Butterflies and the Infant of Progue Guild, the Red Hat Ladies of the Lakes of Richland of West Memphis and a member of the Altar Society of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Forrest City. Mrs. Spicer married Harold Spicer in 1970 and he preceded her in death in 1975. She is survived by three sons; Charles Thomas Clark, and wife, Mary Ann, of Nashville, Tennessee, and John Albert Spircer, and wife, Carolyn, of New Albany, Indiana, Bruce Clark, and wife, Joan, of Bryant, Arkansas, four daughters; Cecilia Cox of Jackson, Mississippi, Jerris Dewaine Spicer of Sikeston, Missouri, Penelope Clair Spicer of Valparaiso, Indiana, and Carla Clark Thibodeaux, and husband, Scott, of Fort Smith, seventeen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and one niece, Tanya Kinman Baldwin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Clark in 1962, two sons; William Penn Clark and William Harold Spicer Jr., one sister, Mary Elizabeth Kinman, one brother, William Bernard Bowers, and one son-in-law, William L. Cox. Celebration of life services for Mrs. Spicer will be held at the St. Michael's Catholic Church, West Memphis, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. A. Rosary will be held 10:00 A.M., with visitation to follow at 10:30 A.M., at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church, 411 North Missouri Street, West Memphis, Arkansas, 72301, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
